How a card payment works
Your customer needs no account
They open the link you text or email and pay from their browser. Nothing to download, nothing to sign up for.
TabEagle does not hold your money
Stripe pays out to your bank account directly. Your funds never sit with TabEagle.
No TabEagle markup on payments
TabEagle adds no fee of its own on top of a payment. Standard Stripe processing fees apply.
A paid invoice stays available
The invoice page shows its paid state and remains available to your customer as a record.
The flow, step by step
- You connect your Stripe account once, inside TabEagle (Stripe's own hosted onboarding — TabEagle never sees your banking credentials).
- When you send an invoice, TabEagle creates a payment link tied to your connected account.
- Your customer opens the invoice page and taps Pay. The card form is Stripe's — card details go to Stripe, not to TabEagle.
- Stripe processes the payment on your account, deducts its standard processing fee, and pays out to your bank on Stripe's normal payout schedule.
- The invoice page updates to show it's paid, and stays available to your customer as a record.
Other ways to get paid
- Zelle, Venmo, and pay-by-check instructions can be shown right on the invoice.
- Those payments happen directly between you and your customer; you record them in TabEagle and mark the invoice paid.
Security practices
- Invoice links use long, unguessable tokens — a link can't be discovered by guessing.
- Invoice pages are excluded from search-engine indexing.
- Your account data is protected by row-level security: each business's records are isolated to its own login.
